Phishing |
|
|
The word "phishing" comes from the analogy of using e-mail
lures to fish for passwords and financial data from the sea of
Internet users.
"Phishing" is an activity that presents a web page or e-mail
requesting personal data such as account numbers, social security
numbers, ATM card PINs, and credit card information.
This web page may appear to come from our online banking and
bill pay service, but it is actually a fraudulent
page caused by malicious code that has infected a user's personal
computer.
If you see this web page, DO NOT PROVIDE YOUR
INFORMATION and DO NOT SUBMIT THE FORM.
Landmark Community Bank will NEVER solicit personal
information online.
Any correspondence, whether by phone, e-mail or web page requesting
personal information should be reported to the bank at 570 602-4522.
Please remember, DO NOT give out your personal information.
